Ron Gertner

VP, Homeland Security Division

Colonel (Ret) Gertner was Chief of Operations of the Samaria and Judea District (2014- 2017). Prior to his current position, he was assigned to Israel’s National Defense College (2013-2014) where he focused on the creation of a common platform for agencies tasked with Israel’s national security. 


He served as the Chief of the Eilat Police Sub-District (2011-2013), Chief Instructor and Deputy Commander of the Israel Police Academy (2011 – 2009), Chief of Netanya Police (2004-2009), Chief of Operations of the Sharon Sub-District (2003-2004), and held various command positons in police stations in Israel (1992-2003).


Colonel Gertner has extensive experience as a police leader in addressing the challenges of crime and terrorism. He represented the Israel Police in numerous conferences, lecture tours and official delegations in North and Central America.


He holds an M.A. in National Security (University of Haifa, 2013), M.A. in Middle Eastern History (Tel Aviv University, 2007)) and a B.A. in Political Science (University of Haifa, 1997).


Colonel (Ret) Gertner is the vice president for Homeland Security Division in Catalyst group international.
